Pometry Helps Build the Next Generation of Financial Graph Benchmarks Together With The LDBC and AntFinancial

Share post

LONDON, UK – May 26, 2022 – Pometry is proud to announce its role as a key member of the new LDBC Financial Benchmark Task Force. This vital industry initiative, led by AntGroup and announced by the Linked Data Benchmark Council (LDBC) in 2022, is dedicated to creating a standardised benchmark for graph database performance in the demanding financial services sector.

The need for a rigorous and realistic benchmark for financial graph technologies has never been greater. From anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud detection to real-time risk analysis, financial institutions rely on high-performance graph databases to navigate immense and complex datasets that are constantly evolving.

As a member of this task force, Pometry will contribute its world-leading expertise in high-performance temporal graph analysis. We will work alongside AntGroup and other industry leaders to help build a benchmark that truly reflects the challenges of modern finance - especially the critical dimension of time. Our goal is to ensure the new standard provides the industry with a reliable and accurate way to evaluate the tools they depend on to fight financial crime and manage risk.

"The creation of a dedicated financial benchmark is a landmark moment for the graph industry, and we are thrilled to be a part of it," said Alhamza Alnaimi, CEO at Pometry. "The most sophisticated financial analysis requires an understanding of how relationships and transactions change over time. We are excited to bring our deep experience in temporal graphs to this collaboration and work with AntGroup and the other LDBC members to build a standard that will drive innovation and foster trust across the financial ecosystem."

This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission to solve the most complex data challenges. We believe that by helping to create a fair and comprehensive benchmark, we can contribute to a safer and more efficient global financial system.

We look forward to sharing our progress with you.

The Missing Link for AI Agents: Why a Native Temporal Graph is Non-Negotiable

The recent OpenAI Cookbook on “Temporal Agents with Knowledge Graphs” has provided a brilliant blueprint for the next generation of AI: agents that don’t just answer questions, but reason over time, understand evolving contexts, and maintain a persistent, accurate memory. The cookbook perfectly outlines the what and the why – and the need to systematically update and validate a knowledge base, perform multi-hop retrieval, and resolve temporal conflicts.

Holistic Network Analysis Over Time

For every real threat, compliance teams are buried under an avalanche of false positives. This “alert fatigue” is more than just an annoyance; it’s a critical vulnerability and a massive operational drain. Investigators waste precious time chasing ghosts born from monitoring systems that lack context, while sophisticated, genuine threats risk being lost in the noise. The key to solving this isn’t more alerts, but more clarity.
